<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording method which makes the most of the high water resistance and light resistance as the characteristics of a pigment ink, prevents print irregularities or color bleeding from occurring, and realizes a high-quality image with high image density and superb fretting resistance. <P>SOLUTION: This method comprises: the pretreatment step of applying an aqueous treatment liquid having a pigment ink flocculating power and a coating film forming power to the face of a recording medium on which data are recorded; the ink jet recording step of recording data by jetting a pigment ink to the face to which the aqueous treatment liquid is applied in the pretreatment step; and the coating film formation step of forming a coating film on the face by thermally drying a recording medium after applying the aqueous treatment liquid to the face on which the data are recorded in the ink jet recording step. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
