PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the increase of frame memories and a clock frequency. SOLUTION: A DCC method is applied to pixels of half of pixels constituting a liquid crystal screen. This device has multiplexers 611, 612 receiving simultaneously even number data and odd number data of a present frame and distributing the even number data and the odd number data conforming to aye and no of application of DCC, a bypass block 621 connected to an output end of the multiplexer 611, a DCC block 631 connected to an output of the multiplexer 612, multiplexers 651, 652 receiving simultaneously output of the bypass block 621 and the DCC block 631 and synthesizing output of the bypass block 621 and the DCC block 631 to conversion odd number data and conversion even number data, a memory controller 661 receiving an output of the multiplexer 612 and providing immediately before frame data to the DCC block 631, frame memories 671, 672 storing the present frame data applying the DCC method and the immediately before frame data, and a line counter 641 controlling each multiplexer.
