PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sun roof device improved so as to further reduce rattling when a slide panel carries out an opening/closing motion. SOLUTION: The sun roof device is constituted such that a slide panel (3) for opening/closing an opening (2) provided on a fixed roof (1) of a vehicle is tilted down and is drawn below the fixed roof. A resilient member (23) for acting elastic pressing force on a panel stay when the slide panel is tilted down to carry out the opening/closing motion is provided between at least one slide member (9) and a panel stay (6). Thereby, when the slide panel is tilted down, a pin (11) provided at a rear end of the panel stay is butted to an upper surface of a guide groove (13) provided on a guide rail and a gap between the guide groove and the pin is cancelled.
