<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for encoding data in which only a line code or edge code part is encoded in advance when FBE encoding is performed and processing can be interrupted upon occurrence of an error at that moment in time. <P>SOLUTION: A means for specifying the encoding data size of generated bit map data, a means for taking in data of each line based on that information and analyzing the edge information, and a means performing variable length encoding based on that results are provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
