PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure enough water supply time by using a tank for exclusive use and to be little bulky and convenient in carrying it. SOLUTION: A body base 6 is provided with a steam generating container 3, a heating source 4 therefor, and a water supply passage 2, whereby while water from a tank 1 is supplied through the water supply passage 2 to the steam generating container 3, water in the steam generating container 3 is heated by the heating source 4 to generate steam, and the generated steam is discharged through a steam cylinder 5 to the outside to humidify the periphery. The steam cylinder 5 and the tank 1 constitute the outer shell of the upper part of the body 7 to be attached and detached to and from the body base 6. Thus, the above object can be achieved.
