PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow to reheat ash and dust generated during burning garbage and to make them into slag without flying them around. SOLUTION: A melting furnace 1 and gas processing equipment (a combustion furnace 2, a heat exchange chamber 3 and a temperature-lowering tower 4) processing gas discharged from the melting furnace are communicated in series, the ash discharged from the combustion furnace 2, the heat exchange chamber 3 and the temperature-lowering tower 4 is received in a conveyer room 11 having a hermetically closed structure. The temperature-lowering tower 4 is communicated with a second separator 18, a solid component is separated, the ash discharged from the conveyer room 11 and the solid component discharged from the second separator 18 are led to a first separator 16 through a pipe line 15, and the solid component is separated again. Separated gas is discharged to the outside, and the solid component is introduced to a molding device 34 to be molded into a solid block A of a prescribed size. A closed circuit where the solid block and separately supplied auxiliary material B are re-charged into the melting furnace 1 together is provided to melt the solid component. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
