<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a gauge for a three-dimensional coordinate measuring machine, comprising a plurality of spherical bodies fixed on a side surface of a polygonal flat plate, has poor workability since it must take various postures, for measurement, in X, Y and Z directions on a measurement table. <P>SOLUTION: A support body 1 has a cylindrical or conical surface formed thereon, a fitting groove 2 is formed on its surface, and a spherical fixing member 4 having a plurality of spherical bodies 3 aligned thereon is fitted and fixed to the groove 2. A standard ring gauge 5 is formed in the support body 1. This gauge 10 for three-dimensional coordinate measuring machines is fixed onto the measurement table of the three-dimensional coordinate measuring machine to perform measurements using the distance between the cores of the respective spherical bodies, an axis formed by the cores of the plurality of the spherical bodies, and a plane. Thus, the evaluation of three items, i.e., the calibration of the scale of the three-dimensional coordinate measuring machine, straightness, and squareness can be simultaneously realized by a single measurement. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
