PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soundproof automobile which is light in weight and provides excellent construction properties in interior finishing, etc., while develop ing good soundproof characteristics. SOLUTION: A vibration damping sheet 3 consisting of an organic polymeric material of≥1.5 in the peak value of a loss tangent (tanδ) (more preferably a resin composition consisting of 100 parts by weight chlorinated polymeric material of a chlorine content 20 to 65 wt.% and 100 to 350 parts by weight at least one 10-50C chlorinated paraffin of a chlorine content 30 to 70 wt.%) is stuck together to at least part of metallic plates (more preferably a door structure 2 or metallic plates of the ceiling and floor sections of the automobile) configurating the automobile and a restraining member 4 of≥1 GPA in modulus of longitudinal elasticity is stuck together onto the sheet 3.
