PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of supplying water suited for flushing to an excrement measuring apparatus, even with flush valve type toilets or low tank type toilets that use reclaimed water, etc. SOLUTION: The method includes storing water coming from a branch fitting 107 of a flush valve 106 to a water storage tank 22 of a flush water supply device 20 via a supply pipe 21, and supplying the water from a suction pipe 23 to the excrement measuring apparatus 10 according to a water supply command coming from the excrement measuring apparatus 10. The method enables the flush water to be supplied to the excrement measuring apparatus even if the toilet is of the flush valve type. Even for toilets of the low tank type that use reclaimed water, etc., water suited for flushing can be supplied to the excrement measuring apparatus from a flush water supply device provided independently of the low tank.
