<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner for easily connecting a power supply cable led from the back side to the front of the side of a front panel to a terminal board. <P>SOLUTION: This air conditioner is constituted by a base 3, the front panel 6 having a suction opening 4 continuously formed from the front to the top, and a blowoff opening formed in the lower surface, which is put on the base 3, a top suction grille mounted on the suction opening of the top, a leading hole 11 and the terminal board 12 provided in a stepped part formed on the front of at least one side part of the front panel 6 for the power supply cable 10 led from the back side along the side wall 9 of the stepped part 8, and a front suction grille journaled to horizontally freely turn and be freely removed by a support shaft 13 mounted on the stepped part 8, and mounted in the suction opening 4 of the front.
