PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a throttle device for a motorcycle or the like which has good assembly workability, easy maintenance, a smooth operation of the throttle grip and good responsiveness. SOLUTION: An engine is installed and a handle bar 1 for steering is provided, and the throttle grip 15 is rotatably provided on one end part of the handle bar 1. A throttle valve drive motor 27 is interlockingly connected to throttle valve 26 of engine, and a rotation angle sensor 38 detecting the rotation angle of the throttle grip 15 is arranged on the end of the inside in the car width direction of the throttle grip 15. The rotation angle sensor 38 and the throttle valve drive motor 27 are connected to an electronic control unit 35 with lead wire 39, 40, the opening of the throttle valve 26 is adjusted by rotating the throttle valve drive motor 27 based on the rotation angle detection signal by the rotation angle sensor 38.
