PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planting base material by which vegetated plants can be readily and inexpensively cultivated and cured, to provide a cultivation method, to provide a rooftop greening system, and to provide a supporter. SOLUTION: The planting base material 14 is obtained by putting culture soil 18 for growing vegetated plants 13 on a flat tray 15 made of synthetic resin. The culture soil 18 comprises soil aggregate and coarse aggregate, and is preferably mixed with a binder exhibiting binding power under the favor of moisture content. The rooftop greening system comprises growing the vegetated plants 13 on the culture soil 18 in the planting base material 14, cultivating the vegetated plants so as to grow until having the desired thickness followed by laying down a plurality of the planting base materials 14 on the rooftop of a building.
