PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide non-aqueous electrolyte which can inhibit a decrease of dielectric strength and a drop of a capacitor's capacity and an electrochemical capacitor. SOLUTION: The electrolyte for the electrochemical capacitor, an electrolytic salt consisting of a strong-acid anion, and a strong-alkali cation are solved in a non-aqueous solvent, the equivalent ratio of anion/cation is 0.99-1.01.
