PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning device capable of easily and securely cleaning away image transfer residues and to provide a printing machine having the cleaning device, and a cleaning method. SOLUTION: A cleaning device 26 is used for the printing machine which has a photoreceptor 1, an electrifier, and exposure unit, a developing means, and a backup body. A cleaning web 22 is pressed against the photoreceptor 1 and a cleaning solution 34 is supplied to the photoreceptor 1 and/or the cleaning web 22, thereby securely wiping off image transfer residues on the photoreceptor 1.
