PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily set and adjust the temperature and the flow rate of a hot blast, to generate a hot blast of an arbitrary temperature with a very quick rise time without needing a preheating time, and to easily generate a high temperature hot blast of very high temperature. SOLUTION: This hot air generating device is provided with a burner body comprising a gas jet nozzle and a gas mixing pipe, a gas supply means for supplying gas to the gas jet nozzle, a combustion blower for feeding air to the gas mixing pipe, an output conduit for outputting the combustion gas generated in the burner body as hot blast, and a mixing blower for feeding air from behind the gas mixing pipe to the output conduit through the periphery side of this gas mixing pipe. The temperature and the flow rate of the hot blast generated can be easily set to any value, and easily adjusted. The hot blast of an arbitrary temperature can be generated with a very quick rise time without needing a preheating time.
