PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing seal capable of greatly reducing the amount of grease reaching a contact lip or making the grease unlikely to reach the lip when the bearing is in rotation, free of such a risk that the grease is discharged together with air even when pressure is relieved, and unlikely to generate grease leakage even if a pumping effect is generated. SOLUTION: The bearing seal 10 has the contact lip 11 provided on the inside surface of a seal ring, and the lip 11 is formed with a plurality of projections 13 at certain internals on the lip surface directed inside the bearing. Size and shapes of the projections 13 are not restricted. The edge of each projection 13 directed inside the bearing is arranged so as not to protrude from the contact tip of the lip 11 contacting with a bearing inner ring 3. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
