PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic camera capable of easily adding environmental information acquired by an external apparatus to a file of an image picked up by the electronic camera. SOLUTION: The electronic camera CA receives diving data from a diving information obtaining apparatus DC for detecting diving data, and correlates it with the file of the image picked up by the electronic camera for recording. The correlating of the diving data with the image file is performed, based on a result of comparing the time data accompanying the diving data, with the time data accompanying the image file.
