PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the number of outside pipes in a target device and the like, reduce the frequency of leakages from connection parts between pipes and lessen the space where this device is installed. SOLUTION: A cooling device cools an exothermic part 5 such as a target with a coolant (a) made of a low-melting metal. The coolant (a) is stored in a container 2, and a circulation pump 3 that sends out at least the coolant (a) in the container 2 toward the exothermic part 5 and a heat exchanger 4 that removes the heat of the coolant (a) returning from the exothermic part 5 into the container 2 are provided.
