<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position input device having excellent operability and capable of moving a cursor rapidly and steadily to the desired position, and an information processing device having excellent operability of the cursor by incorporating the position input device. <P>SOLUTION: The position input device comprises an operation part 1, a first and a second guide means 2, 3 which guide the operation part 1 in X-X' direction and in Y-Y' direction, a first and a second position sensors 4, 5 which detect operation position of the operation part in X-X' direction and in Y-Y' direction, and a first and a second electromagnetic actuators 6, 7 which add an external force to the operation part 1.
