PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hinge device. SOLUTION: This hinge device is used as a hinge for a table, a rack for a storehouse, a rack for a freight display or the like, which needs a restriction on a position. The hinge device prevents a space from being exclusively used by developing and using an upper plate surface in accordance with usage conditions or folding the upper plate surface. The upper plate surface is located when developed at an angle (of 0-120°) to be used, by utilizing protrusive keys on both the sides of a driving ratchet which is provided midway between upper and lower steps of the hinge and a stopper angle of a stopper block of a rotating pusher which is inserted inside the driving ratchet. When the upper plate surface is continuously developed upward so as to exceed the angle to be used (exceed 120°), the protrusive keys push the stopper block, make the rotating pusher push the driving ratchet, and make them linearly moved outward, respectively, so that the upper plate surface can be folded.
