PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tactile force giving device in which constitution of a motor is simple and the motor is inexpensive and down-sized. SOLUTION: In this tactile force giving device, because the tactile force is given to an operation member 20 by a motor 18 in rotating the operation member 20, a support member 9 is moved via the motor 18 in moving the operation member 20 in a shaft line direction, a detecting member 2 is operated by the movement of the support member 9, and the support member 9, the motor 18, and the operation member 20 return to their original positions by a returning means, and a rotating shaft 18b of the motor 18 does not need to be moved in the shaft line direction against the main body part 18a, and therefore the constitution of the motor is simple and the motor is inexpensive, and can be down-sized in the shaft line direction.
