PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent shock due to a rapid change of the engine brake, and loss of fuel consumption by restarting of fuel supply at a decreased engine rotation speed below the F/C return rotation speed, when performing down-shift with fuel-cut and slip control of the lock up clutch at the time of coasting.
SOLUTION: When the lock up clutch is slip-controlled, coast down shift is performed from 6 to 5 at a relatively high vehicle speed V2 determined to continue fuel-cut. When the lock up clutch is released, coast down is performed from 6 to 5 at a relatively low vehicle speed V1 and thereby to reduce speed change shock. When the fuel-cut region is changed following turning ON of an air conditioner, the coast down vehicle speed and the normal transmission map are changed into the high vehicle speed side to perform coast down shift from 6 to 5 at a vehicle speed V4 within the region.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
|
