PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve durability without lowering the shock absorbing performance of a buffer. SOLUTION: Elastic plate members are spirally stacked in a state that superposed faces are slidable to each other, a space 33 permitting deformations of the plate members is formed at the radial inner side of a stacked part 32, and the outer peripheral side of the stacked part 33 is an abutting face against a projection 30 as a mating contact part. As a buffer 31 can receive an inputted shock caused by the displacement of the approximately entire area of the stacked part 32, the shock can be surely relieved without generating partial plastic deformation, damage, abrasion and the like, even to the input of a large shock.
