<p>A method of manufacturing a honeycomb structural body, comprising a sealup step for sealing up a plurality of cells (3) passing from one end face (41) to the other end face (43) at any of the end faces of a honeycomb formed body (1) having the two end faces (41) and (43) and the plurality of cells (3), the sealup step further comprising a first auxiliary step for stamping a film (9) on the any of the end faces, a second auxiliary step for drilling holes in the film at specified positions corresponding to the sealed up cells by a high-density energy beam, and a third auxiliary step for packing sealup material in the sealed up cells, characterized in that the first auxiliary step uses the film (9) having a base material layer and an adhesive layer with an adhesive force of 3 to 15 N/25 mm, whereby a damage to the honeycomb formed body or the honeycomb structural body resulting from the sealup can be suppressed, and the sealup can be surely performed.</p> |
