The device has transmission modules (2,3) associated with electrical devices (1,5) on the vehicle body and on/in the vehicle seat. The transmission modules form a wireless high frequency transmission path. The body side module is integrated into the rail system for the seat and the seat module can be coupled into the rail system so the signal and/or energy transfer takes place via the displacement current generated in the rail system.
