A mixture for the application of a polymeric corrosion resistant, electrically conductive or semi-conductive coating, which is non-abrasively shapeable, onto a substrate, comprises electrically conductive hard particles and very soft or soft, inorganic, lubricating, electrically conductive or semi-conductive particles. A mixture (I) for the application of a polymeric corrosion resistant, electrically conductive or semi-conductive coating (II), which is non-abrasively shapeable, onto a substrate, preferably a metallic substrate such as steel sheet, whereby the substrate is optionally coated with a zinc layer and/or zinc containing alloy layer and/or with at least one pretreatment layer, whereby the mixture comprises: (a) electrically conductive hard particles; (b) very soft or soft, inorganic, lubricating, electrically conductive or semi-conductive particles and/or; (c) metallic soft or hard electrically conductive or semi-conductive particles and/or carbon black as well as at least one binding agent, cross-linking agent and/or photoinitiator and optionally a post-crosslinking compound and additive; (d) a non particulate corrosion inhibitor, an organic solvent and/or water whereby (A), (B) and (C) are insoluble or poorly soluble in water, the content of particles (B) and (C) is 0.25-99.5 wt.% of particles (A)+(B)+(C); and particles (A) have a d99 particle size of less than 10 microns (as measured by a Mastersizer S(RTM; particle size analyzer). Independent claims are included for: (1) a process for the production of the coating (II) onto a substrate by application of the mixture (I) onto an optionally pretreated substrate, optionally drying and at least partially cross-linking to yield a coating (II); (2) the coating (II).
