<p>(A) Cyclic amidines of the general formula (I) n = 0, 1 or 2 U is the atom which is necessary for the completion of a pyridine-, pyrimidine-, pyrazine, or thiazole ring, which can be substd. with a lower alkyl, trifluoromethyl, lower alkoxy or halogen. V is a phenyl, thienyl, or pyridyl ring which can be substd. with a lower alkyl, trifluoromethyl, lower alkoxy, halogen or dialkylamino and Y = hydrogen, lower alkyl, hydroxy, alkoxy or acyloxy group R1 = hydrogen, lower alkyl, aminoalkyl, hydroxyalkyl aralkyl or acyl R2, R3, R4 and R5 each represent hydrogen, or lower alkyl, or two together combined with the atom separating them can form a satd. hydrocarbon ring with 5 to 7 C atoms. (B) Pharmaceutically acceptable salts of (I). The cpds. have anti-inflammatory activity. 2-(alpha.(2-pyridyl)benzyl)imidazoline.</p> |
