The device for increasing the height of a high-tension power line's two-section mast includes a central mast (4) which protrudes into the upper mast section (3) and is enclosed by a lifting device. The length of the lifting device is dimensioned so that it projects into the upper mast section. At least two hydraulic cylinders (7) are used to drive the lifting device. A first roll surface (10) is located at the upper end of the lifting device, and at a defined distance above it is a second roll surface (20). The first roll surface is detachably connected to the lifting device and both roll surfaces are detachably connected to the upper mast section.
