<p>The inlet (2) is provided with ribs at its outer surface and a stop (3) for defining the depth of insertion into the pipe (4). Ring-shaped projections (7, 8) above and below the ribbed section act as positioning devices and create a gap between the outer surface of the inlet (2) and the inner surface of the pipe (4) until both parts are permanently joined by press fitting. The false belief in an already performed joining process, as frequently assumed when using an inner reinforcing pipe, preventing leaking for a short time after insertion, can be avoided.</p> |
