PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for transmitting data in a communication system is provided to transmit RS-232 type data to a remote place. CONSTITUTION: A FPGA(Field Programmable Gate Array)(555) is composed of an oversampling part(511), an interface part(513), and a timing part(515). The oversampling part(511) oversamples a Tx signal transmitted from an asynchronous communication port and transmits it to the interface part(513). The interface part(513) having a U frame structure loads data on B1 and B2 channels to transmit them to a U-interface circuit(503). The U-interface circuit(503) extracts the signals of the B1 and B2 channels from the signals transmitted through a transmission line and transmits them to the asynchronous communication port(501). The timing part(515) adjusts the timing of the oversampling part(511) and the interface part(513).
