(Poly)ethoxylated and/or (poly)propoxylated, linear or branched 8-30 carbon (C) alkanols (I) are used for stabilizing cosmetic foam aerosol formulations containing salt(s). (Poly)ethoxylated and/or (poly)propoxylated, linear or branched 8-30 carbon (C) alkanols of formula (I) are used for stabilizing cosmetic foam aerosol formulations containing salt(s). R = linear or branched 8-30 C alkyl; x = 0-50; and y = 0-25. Provided at least one of x and y is not equal to zero. An Independent claim is also included for foam containing salt(s), compound(s) (I) and propellant gas(es) in a cosmetically-acceptable medium.
