A steam generator bottom wall is formed with an annular gap 4 between an outer section 3 and an inner section 6, burner nozzles 5 are arranged in groups within the gap 4, and an annular wind box 8 surrounds a gas supply trunk 7 feeding the nozzles 5. The gas trunk 7 and wind box 8 are divided, Fig. 2, to provide individually controllable supplies to each group of burner nozzles 5, so that the turn down range of the steam generator may be increased by cutting out one or more groups of burner nozzles. |
