PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electronic document output unit in which access in units of page is realized in addition to acquisition of an original document and the apparent output formats of the print results and the display results are made to coincide with each other. SOLUTION: A print data generating section 17 synthesizes a descriptor and a specified page number, or a print setting, a display setting required for accessing document data subjected to identification encoding at an identification encoding section 16 to generate print data. On the other hand, a display data generating section 37 generates display data based on document data and decoded print setting, display setting, and page setting acquired from a document data acquiring section 33 and a print setting decoding section 35, a display setting decoding section 34, and a page number decoding section 36.
