METHOD AND DEVICE FOR MANUFACTURING POROUS CALCIUM PHOSPHATE BODY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for making a porous calcium phosphate body which permits the easy penetration of tissue of a living body and is easily absorbed by the living body when embedded in the living body and a device for making the porous calcium phosphate body.

SOLUTION: The porous calcium phosphate body having open cells is formed by passing a calcium phosphate paste obtained by mixing calcium phosphate powder with a curing liquid containing water through a pore forming porous plate having a large number of through-holes from its one end side to the other end side. The device for making the porous body has a cylinder having a paste extrusion opening on one end side thereof, a plunger sliding in the cylinder, and the pore forming porous plate arranged to the paste extrusion opening. The device for making the porous calcium phosphate body further has a function of kneading the calcium phosphate powder and the curing liquid.
