PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal decomposition device for dioxins in ash which thermally decomposes dioxins more efficiently compared with a conventional device. SOLUTION: This device comprises a thermal decomposition treatment tank 1 with an inner treatment chamber 2 for receiving the ash containing the dioxins, a perpendicular rotary shaft 32 penetrating the top lid 7 of the tank 1, a hanging means installed on the rotary shaft 32 at the inner upper end of the treatment chamber 2, a plurality of ash heating chains 3 hung by a hanging means, and an electromagnetic induction heating coil 4 for heating the chains 3. In the chamber 2, a perpendicular cylindrical trough 43 with both open ends, a perpendicular drive shaft 44 arranged in the cylindrical trough 43, and a screw conveyor 42 consisting of a helical blade 45 fixed to the drive shaft 44, are provided. The ash is conveyed from the inner lower end to the inner upper end of the cylindrical trough 43 by the helical blade 45. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
