PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging body of easy manufacture and beautiful appearance which is reliably unsealed to a last. SOLUTION: This packaging body to surround an article to be packaged by one or a plurality of packaging materials comprises first and second areas to cover one side and the other side of the packaging body, a first extension piece extending outward of the first area, and a second extension piece extending outward of the second area and butted to the first extension piece. Butted areas of the first and the second extension pieces are sealed to each other to constitute a butt-sealed part. A pair of notches opened in the widthwise direction of the butt-sealed part are formed in the butt-sealed part, a flaw in which a maximum distance in the widthwise direction is wider than the opening width is formed in any one of outer surfaces of the first and the second extension pieces in an unsealing area demarcated by the pair of notches.
