PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bicycle having a new drive system not generating a problem like that in a conventional gear-chain drive system. SOLUTION: This bicycle has a drive mechanism A provided with a pair of arms 6a, 6b extended from both end parts of the rear axle 10 supported by a body frame 1 in an opposite direction by near 180°in a peripheral direction of a rear wheel, a pair of pedal bars 7a, 7b whose base end parts are pivotally fitted to the tip parts of the arms 6a, 6b and whose tip parts are extended to a front wheel side, a pair of suspension holding arms 8a, 8b whose one end parts are pivotally fitted to the body frame 1 and other end parts are pivotally fitted to pedal bars 7a, 7b, and pedals 9a, 9b provided at the tip parts of the pedal bars 7a, 7b.
