<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the outflow of a carrier (granule) losing sedimentation properties. <P>SOLUTION: A methane formentation tank 1 is constituted so that organic matter in wastewater is decomposed into methane, carbon dioxide and water by the action of anaerobic microorganisms and a partition wall 3 is arranged in a tank body 1A to form a reaction tank 4 and a separation tank 5 separately in a communicable manner. The tank body 1A has a carrier stationarily holding layer 2, wherein a necessary minimum holding amount of granules formed by the self-granulation of anaerobic microorganisms is stationarily held, provided on the bottom part thereof and is equipped with a supply part for supplying wastewater into the carrier stationarily holding layer 2 and a gas discharge part for discharging methane and carbon dioxide from an upper part. The separation tank 5 has a treated water discharge part for discharging treated water being wastewater after decomposition treatment from an upper part, and a stirring means (stirring blades 9 and a motor 10) for separating air bubbles adhering to or enclosed in floating granules is provided to the reaction tank 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
