PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid nitrogen spray apparatus which can enhance a liquid nitrogen spray response to opening/closing of a needle valve and can normally spray liquid nitrogen without dripping of the liquid nitrogen on a nozzle spray port. SOLUTION: This liquid nitrogen spray apparatus is provided with a needle valve 3 and a liquid nitrogen spray nozzle 15 which are connected to each other through a pipe 11 having a space 10, through which liquid nitrogen is to be passed, between the liquid nitrogen spray nozzle and the needle valve. Simultaneously with the closing of the needle valve, a purge gas is injected into the space 10 through the interior of a needle 4, or alternatively the purge gas is ejected toward a nozzle spray port 17 of the liquid nitrogen spray nozzle 15 to discharge liquid nitrogen, which stays within the space 10, into the outside of the nozzle.
