A chair control arrangement for a chair (1) movable on castors (11) and having an horizontally swivelable seat is shown. It comprises locking means (13, 38) for locking translational movement of a chair on its castors (11) and/or swivel movements of the chair seat and control means (41, 85) for controllin g the locking means (13,38) and situated in a position usable by the user of t he chair when sitting therein.
