MOBILE POSITION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile position management system which realizes a general-purposed platform for providing position information of a mobile terminal to an application server or terminals and efficiently manages the position information. SOLUTION: In a mobile communication network, an HLR (Home Location Register) 3 being a high order database and LLRs (Local Location Registers) 4, 5 each being a low order database form a hierarchical database. The HLR 3 holds information of the servicing LLR covering a service area where a mobile terminal is located and the servicing LLR holds position information of the mobile terminal 11. For an inquiry from an application server 1 or a terminal, it provides the position information of the mobile terminal 11. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
