PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photo printer for simplifying the handling of a WORM optical disk in the case of writing image data of an image equivalent to an image to be formed as a photo print to the optical disk. SOLUTION: The photo printer provided with: an image forming apparatus IC for forming an image as a print on an image recording member PS on the basis of image data read by a film reading unit FR; and an image data writer IW for writing the image data of the image equivalent to the printed image to the optical disk of the WORM, permits writing the image data when the data written in the optical disk loaded to the image data writer IW is a display processing program and permits writing the image data and the display processing program when no data are written in the optical disk.
