PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long-life PDP capable of a high-definition display by realizing a dielectric protective film having a high electron emission performance capable of responding to high definition with an excellent anti-sputtering property and a high density. SOLUTION: By setting a refraction index of the protective film at 1.4 to 2.0 to light with the wavelengths of 400 nm to 1,000 nm, an electron emission performance of the protective film is improved with shortened discharge delay time, enabling a high-definition and high picture-quality display.
