PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain the effective utilization of a main memory part by saving an OPC execution parameter which is erased from the main memory part, to a sub-memory part, and to prevent the overlapped power calibration from being applied. SOLUTION: When data are recorded on a newly mounted optical disk 1 in the state in which the OPC execution parameters are preserved until filled up in the main memory part 11, a system controller 10 confirms whether the OPC execution parameters of an optical disk same as the mounted optical disk 1 are preserved in the main memory part 11 and the sub-memory part 12, and when not preserved, only a part of the main of the oldest OPC execution parameter among the parameters preserved in the main memory part 11 is saved to the sub-memory part 12, then the OPC execution parameters of the new optical disk are preserved in an after saved area in the main memory part 11.
