PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive guard/monitor system which can speedily detect a trespass state and visually and auditorily monitor a site state. SOLUTION: When trespass sensors 12A to 12N at least one of which is installed in a guard/monitor area 1 detects a trespasser, imaging means 13A to 13M are placed in operation to gather an image and a sound of a specified area. The gathered image signal and sound signal are recorded in a recording means 15. In response to the detection of the trespasser, the presence of the trespasser is reported to a previously set person to be informed by a dialer 14 through a communication line such as the Internet and the image signal and sound signal are sent. On the side 2 of the informed person, the received image and sound are displayed out on a monitor 23 to report the abnormal state. The informed person confirms the monitor 23 and sends a report to the police and a security agency for prevention against damage caused by the trespasser, thereby sending a staff to the site. An auxiliary power source 16 automatically operates to function as a power source for facilities when the power source of the facilities in the guard/monitor area is disconnected by the trespasser.
