PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foam which is attached to wall surfaces and ceilings of buildings around sound sources or soundproofing walls, etc., of expressways, and has performance effective for decreasing the air-borne sounds, solid borne sounds, and vibrations produced from outside like traffic vehicles, ships and various kinds of machinery in factories, etc., and an acoustic material using the same, and a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: The acoustic material 1 is formed by laminating and integrally molding the foam 2 and a porous material 3. The foam 2 has vibration damping characteristics as well in addition to sound absorbing characteristics. More specifically, the foam is compounded from respective components consisting of diol of a molecular weight 500 to 5,000, an inorganic filler, water as a foaming agent and isocyanate.
