PURPOSE: A multichannel linear power amplifier using double conversion in a radio communication equipment is provided to prevent the distortion of harmonic inter-modulation and achieve the maximum performance of a high power amplifier by converting input high frequency signals into low frequency signals through a downconverter. CONSTITUTION: A multichannel linear power amplifier using double conversion consists of an input part(140), a low noise amplifier(150), a high frequency distribution part(160), double converting amplification parts(100-300), a high frequency coupling part(170), and an output part(180). The multichannel linear power amplifier splits channel frequencies through the high frequency distribution part(160), downconverts/upconverts each channel frequency through each double converting amplification part(100-300), and amplifies the converted frequencies. Then the multichannel linear power amplifier couples the channel frequencies into one through the high frequency coupling part(170). Each of the double converting amplification parts(100-300) comprises a downconverter(102), a low pass filter(104), an intermediate frequency amplifier(106), a low frequency SAW filter(108), an upconverter(110), the first and second band pass filters(112,116), and the first and second amplifiers(114,118).
