PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for more surely storing image data of a digital camera.

SOLUTION: A system 100 is provided with: the digital camera 1; a personal computer PC1; and a server SV1. The digital camera 1 transmits photographed image data to the personal computer PC1 in a home network and the WWW server SV1 on the Internet via a network. Or the digital camera 1 may transmit the photographed image data to the personal computer PC1 and also give a transfer command indicative of transfer of the image data to the server SV1 to the personal computer PC1. The personal computer PC1 stores the received image data in itself and transfers the image data to the server SV1 on the basis of the transfer command to allow the server SV1 to store the data.
