<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connector which can be manufactured easily within a short period of time without requirement of high precision mechanical process such as alignment of end face. <P>SOLUTION: A first socket 3 and a second socket 4 are detachably fitted with both ends of a plug 2. The plug 2 is provided with an optical waveguide portion 20 and both LED 21 and PD 22 are mounted to both ends of the optical waveguide portion. The first socket 3 and second socket 4 are provided with external contactors 33, 43. A contact end 33a of the external contactor 33 is pressurized in contact with an electrical contactor 21b of LED 21, while a contact end 43a of the external contactor 43 is pressurized in contact with an electrical contactor 22b of PD 22. A pin 33b of the external contactor 33 and pin 43b of the external contactor 43 are respectively extended to the external lower portion of the first socket 3 and the second socket 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
