PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a slim profile for a disk drive apparatus from which a disk medium is removed. SOLUTION: The protrusion 310 of a suction magnet 308 mounted on a rotor unit 305 is engaged with a recessed groove 309 on a support axis 304 of a stator unit 302, thereby preventing a removable disk medium 305 and the rotor unit 305 from falling off from the stator unit 302. Thus, there is no need to mount a snap ring on the inner peripheral surface of the rotor unit 302 for such prevention, allowing the apparatus to be made slim as a whole. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
